Rubber Hose Rubber tube storage

Rubber tube storage recommendations

Due to the natural nature of the rubber, the physical properties and performance levels of all rubber products will change. Such changes are usually made over time depending on the type of rubber used. But may also be due to several factors or a combination of several factors to accelerate the change. Other materials used to reinforce the rubber tube may also be adversely affected by improper storage conditions. The following recommendations contain a series of precautions to maximize the prevention of aging of the object in storage.

1. storage time

A rotation plan system should be used to minimize the storage time of the rubber tube as much as possible. If you can not avoid prolonged storage and can not comply with the following recommendations, you should thoroughly check the rubber tube before use.

2. Physical storage conditions

The storage of the rubber tube must avoid mechanical stress, including transition stretching, pressing or deformation, to avoid contact with sharp or sharp objects. The rubber tube is preferentially stored on a suitable stand or placed on a dry ground. The rubber tube of the coil pack must be stored horizontally and the rubber tube should not be stacked. If stacking is not avoided, the height of the stack should not cause permanent deformation of the rubber tube underneath. As one of the regulations, try to avoid the rubber tube around the column or the hook. If the rubber tube is shipped in straight pipe, it is recommended to store it horizontally without bending it.

3. Contact with other materials

Rubber tubing shall not be exposed to solvents, fuels, oils, fats, unstable chemicals, acids, disinfectants, or general organic liquids. Moreover, any kind of rubber and some materials or mixtures in contact with the damage will occur, including manganese, iron, copper and its alloys. The rubber tube should be protected from contact with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or wood or cloth impregnated with excess oil.

4. Temperature and humidity

Recommended storage temperature: 10 degrees Celsius to 25 degrees Celsius. CAUTION: Do not store rubber tubing at temperatures above 40 ° C or below 0 ° C. It should be especially careful to move the rubber tube at minus 15 degrees Celsius. The rubber tube shall not be stored in the heat source attachment with a relative humidity of not more than 65%.

5. Exposure to heat source

Must comply with the temperature limits described in Point 4. If it is not possible to use a thermal insulation device to protect the rubber tube from heat.

6. Exposure to light

The storage compartment used to store the rubber tube should remain dark, especially to avoid direct sunlight or strong artificial light exposure to the rubber tube. If the storage compartment has windows or any openings covered by glass, it should be obscured.

7. Exposure to oxygen and ozone

The rubber tube should be properly packed or stored in a closed container to avoid exposure to air. Storage devices are not allowed to release ozone-prone equipment, and ozone has a particularly strong impact on all rubber products.

8. Exposure to electric or magnetic fields

The storage room should avoid any situation where an electric field or magnetic field may be generated, including exposure to high voltage cables or high frequency generators.
